  1. I have almost 150 avi files (divx & xvid) and most have 25 fps frame rate. I need to get them all to 29.97 fps (NTSC), so I'm loking for a batch framerate converter tool. Does anyone know if that exists?

Why ? Doing a straight framerate conversion is likely to cause audio sync problems, and will also speed up the playback. You really need to re-encode these correctly, and even then you are likely to get jerkiness as a result.

Ask yourself why you need to do this, and if there is an alternative. If you are converting to DVD, you are better off converting to 23.976 with 2:3 pulldown, than butchering to 29.970.

  3. I'm using sub-clips of these to splice into 29.97fps video and I use Vegas to do that. In Vegas the 25fps is always out of sync and I have to correct that manually beforte I can continue my splice jobs. It eventually works but is very tedious. If I consistently convert them all to 29.97fps first, the splicing in Vegas will go much faster.
