  1. Hi.

    I have a pioneer 110D rewriter

It reads discs/files excellent, but when it comes to ripping to disc, the drive keeps crashing.

Is the drive broke or could it be something else ?

I have even tried using different types of media, still no look.

    Thanks to all the reply.

I'm not so sure the drive is crashing, more likely the ripping program.

And what do you mean by 'ripping to disc'? 'Ripping' usually means decrypting and transferring the contents of a DVD to the hard drive of the computer. Are you doing on-the-fly copying? Or are you referring to the whole process of ripping, encoding or transcoding, authoring and finally burning?

What programs are you using? What are your steps?

  3. Hi.

Sorry i'm new to all this.

What i mean is, the rewriter reads contents of a disc, then i take
the disc out and put in blank media to copy contents the rewriter
will not copy, it just keeps crashing.

The same happens when i try and copy files from the hard drive.

    Thanks
