  1. I bought 2 original dvd's and wanna make some security back up of them.

But in that back up I wanna change subtitle colors about one of that dvd's.

eg: DVD # 1 has yellow subtitles and DVD # 2 has white subtitles. I want to change the color subtitle from DVD # 2 to became the same as yellow one like DVD # 1.

    How can I do that?

I try use PGCEdit, importing the colors from DVD # 1 to DVD # 2, in my HD. But the colors didn't change how I expect: the colors are different, despite I import exactly the same parameters from DVD #1 to DVD 2?

I really wanna know how to import / export such kind of subtitle colors between different dvd's, because in some authoring projects I really appreciate the original studio dvd color palletes ( concerning about subtitles ) and I want to reproduce them identical in my personal back ups and projects later.

Any clue and help about the subject are welcome.

    Best regards.

I would try IfoEdit. Open VTS_01_1.IFO (or whichever file name the main movie has. Not VIDEO_TS.IFO!) from DVD#1. Double click on "VTS_PGCITI" to see the underlying structure, and select a PGC with the desired colours, for instance "VTS_PGC_1". Choose "Copy Colors from this PGC" from the Subtitle Color-menu.

Now open the PGC in DVD#2 that you want to modify, using the same method as above. Choose "Paste Colors into this PGC" from the Subtitle Color-menu and save the result. Since this will modify the IFO-files I suggest that you make a backup first.

I'll do a test with Ifoedit and DVDSubedit too, ok?

Can you tell me if it's possible to "clone" not only the palette colors from one dvd to another, but including their fonts ( size, etc )?

If not, there is some program that can copy/clone/discover which fonts dvd subtitles use?

    Thanks again.

    best regards

  4. No, subtitles on DVDs are 'images' not 'text'. To change a font would mean to convert the images to text with OCR software (like subrip), use a text to 'image' converter (like txt2sup) with the new font (and fontsize, color...) and reauthor.
