    Hi,

Im having some trouble with some troubles when trying to put subtitles in a DVDR using DVDLab...after the hole process is done, the DVD does not contain a menu...can you guys help??

I've tested several times, and nothing...

Only thing i changed was an option on dvddecrypter, the option was: Split files in: 1GB, i changed to None.

    Help please...

    Be Cool.

Post a screenshot of the connections window from DVD Lab.

A couple of things to check/test as well.

    1. If you press the Menu button on your remote, do you get a menu ?

    2. In the connections window, have you linked the First Play object to the menu ?

About Connections on DVDLab...when i open DVDLab without importing any files, are connections the same??

I ask this cuz i dont have any extracted files with DVDDecrypter...so i wanna know if i need to import some audio and video to DVDLab to give u a screenshot of Connections.

About the remote, i only have a DVD on PC, but i try to go to menu, and there's just no menu ( i use PowerDVD 6 to see DVD's )

When you open a new project in DVD Lab you get pretty much an empty connections window. You will have the first play object, and one other (can't remember the name), and nothing else, You have to add video and audio assets, and create a menu (or menus, depending on complexity) if that is what you want to see.

If you just add the video and audio assets, and add a subtitle stream, you won't get a menu. You can switch subtitles using the subtitle button on your remote (or with your software), but if you want a subtitles menu, you have to create one.

You can't do it in DVD Lab Pro. If you want to use DLP you have to basic author new menus.

You can look at tools like IFOEdit or PGCEdit to add subtitles into an existing DVD, but you won't get a subtitles menu.

What you want to do - essentially add subtitles and modify an existing DVD menu structure - is not an easy task. Just adding subs isn't as bad.

Start by reading this guide https://www.videohelp.com/guides.php?guideid=706#706 and go from there

You will have to get your friends to explain how they do it just with DVD Lab Pro, then come back and explain it to us. I use DVD Lab Pro a fair bit, and cannot see a way to do what you want to do.

Well, they say that to maintain the menu, i have to use IFOUpdate...like the tutorial says....and nothing.

If i cant keep the menu, why bother putting subs in a DVDR when i can do easily a DVD from a DVDRiP and make a menu myself?

I think you mean IFOEdit. So why not use it. You need to use the right tool for each job. I don't believe DVD Lab Pro is the right tool for your job. If you want to create a new menu, with subtitle options, use DLP, otherwise, use IFOEdit.

If you look int he tools section, each tool has a list of associated guides. These two say you keep the menu
