I have different videos from different sources and played them back over the weekend for the first time on my main rig, had to adjust the volume for each video so this will not work, the main videos with the audio problems are those from youtube which I had to give the flv extension. I tried both MPC nad VLC and their normalizing feature did NOT work. What are my best options here? SOme of the video's audio was recorded with very low volume in the first place so I am thinking that first, I should try to normalize the audio of all of the videos using some sort of software similar to mp3gain if such a software for videos exist, your thoughts please?

Usually, you need to convert the files, from flv to mpg or avi for example. You can then extract the audio with a tool such as goldwave, and adjust the volume levels.

I believe some codecs (FFDshow, divx) have advanced options which include audio level adjustment.

There is no "all in one" tool that I am aware of.
