Do a forum search for 'CIS' (Continuous Ink System) and you should get quite a few hits and probably some possible solutions. You can also do a Google search for 'Continuous Ink Systems'.

Does your printer recognize te black cartridge? If it does, the black cartridge is defective. you can contact the seller to get a replacement black cartridge.

You have to take the black cart out and prime/bleed it.
It won't suck the ink through the lines & you want the external tanks on the same level as the printer, not above and not below the printer.
Something must have let the ink flow back into the line.

You most likely have an airlock in the cartridge .... to solve this make sure the tank is full and the fill plug is removed for the black tank only .... all other tanks should have their fill plugs in place ...also if your cis system has seperate air filters then these should be removed and the original airflow plugs that came with the cis should be replaced (ie you have to make sure that you prevent inkflow from the colour tanks ) ... now lift the cis tanks above the printer and allow the ink to run down the tube ... excess air will rise back up the tube and out through the tank .... once the tube is full and no air bubbles are present in the tube place the cis tanks in their normal position (usually on the table next to the printer so as the base of the tanks are at the same level as the base of the printer) now change the plugs and filters etc back to how they should be for normal operation .... run a head cleaning cycle on your printer ... print a test page to make sure printing is correct .... it may be neccessary to run the head clean process several times to get a correct print pattern...
