    I'm trying to make subtitles for an FFDshow AVI. Media Player Classic can view the video just fine, but other Windows applications are having trouble to play/ convert it. And seeing as I need it in DIVX format, could I get any help on how I could make WMP view it, please?

    Use AVICodec to determine what codec is used in your file, then enable that codec in ffdshow. Start -> All Programs -> ffdshow -> Video Decoder Configuration.
