    Hi,

Try a different software to see if you get better results. VirtualVCR is good and FREE ! Also there's VirtualDub - FREE too.

If capturing to your Harddrive - make sure that you're defragged it in advance. Also close down any unecessary software that might be running in the background nad causing a conflict.

Have a look at the www.doom9.org site as they have some good articles on capturing, as does LordSmurf at www.digitalfaq.com

    Bon Chance !

Just because you're nobody, doesn't mean that you're no good. Just because there's a reason, doesn't mean it's understood. It doesn't make it all right ! (The Specials)

  4. All good suggestions, but one shouldn't have to be a system engineer to get a cap card to work.
I'm with drewzor..... run, run away quickly...
Spend good money on a good cap card, and enjoy it, instead of fighting with it.

There are WORSE stuff. Trust me.

Norwood Micro PCI TV Tuner w/ Remote. Installed it. Connected to an amplified antenna I got. Will NOT pick up ANY UHF channels at all, and only 5 out of 7 VHF channels. That's with the included software. Tried 3rd party stuff. DScaler can't get the chipset and tuner right, and as a result I can't get ANY sound, even though I got SOME picture. K!TV XP manage to get all the channels, but any attempt at activating the mixer results in a CTD (crash to desktop). ATV2000 just won't run at all.

I was so fed up, I tore the Hauppauge WinTV from my old PC and installed THAT instead, and that worked flawlessly (except for recording to AVI file, haven't quite figured that out yet, but then I don't really expect to, as it's not a required feature)
