Cannot download ffmpegx

I've been trying to download the latest version for Mac OSX (am using 10.4.7). I'm able to download the full file, but at the moment it begins to mount, I get the message "POSIX error" and that's it: nothing else happens. It has happened several times already.

What could be the problem?

I can't even get the download to initiate. Is the ftp server down?

The server is up right now. Try to use Firefox if Safari has problems.

is there a mirror or alternate download site, the one linked on the download page is not accepting any more downloads, your bandwidth limit has been exceeded or something, for the last 4-5 hours I have been getting nothing but timeouts or something along the lines of "There are already 700 users logged in come back in 10 minutes"

I couldn't get it to download with safari or an ftp program but it worked fine in Firefox.

I just gave up for a little while and came back and it did finally work, although the speed was pretty low, took about 15 minutes to complete, but did complete nonetheless.
