  1. I use the vcdhelp bitrate calc when making SVCD.

    I use LSX plugin and burn the MPEG with Nero 5.5

    But here is my question when I want to put 60 min on a 74 min CD. The vcdhelp bitrate calc says I shold set the video bitrate to 1444 I always use 224 in audio bitrate.

    But I get a file that is to big for a 80 min CD.

    Even if i set the bitrate to 1300 I can almost not even fit it on a 80 min CD.

    I have only used CBR for this.

    Is there something wron with the caltulator????

    BUT howcome when i want to burn 52 min on a 80 min CD, the bitrate chosed by VCD calc is correct?..

  2. Just checked the calculator, somethings wrong. With a video bitrate = 1444kbit/s and audio=224kbit/s for a 60min source you should get a 750.6MB file. That's slightly larger than the 740MB limit.

    First, I'd recommend lower the audio to 128kbit/s to give more bitrate to the video (but that's me ).

    To generate a 735MB file for a 60min source you have 1633kbit/s total. So thats:
    Video = 1409 & audio = 224 OR
    Video = 1505 & audio = 128

    I get it to 733 MB so it would fit...it is 750 600 kB.
