  1. I'm downloading 700-800 MB Divxs with tools like WinMx and i'd like to play them on my dvd player to watch'em on tv. Consider that my dvd player(mustek 520)can read everything. What i'm asking is: "since divx is very high compressed should i stick to VCD or even lower bitrate XVCD format (like SeVCD or CVCD) so i could also use fewer cds? Or does it make sense to make 2-3 cds S(X)VCD if the Divx looks good? (actually i haven't seen Divx bitrate higher than 110 KB/s and audio more than mp3 160)

  3. Thanx for your help but could you please tell me how to find out if the divx quality is worth the svcd? Is it just matter of watching it or should i look at its size, video-audio bitrate or the resolution? If that's the case could you or anyone else give me some indications about the divx features that make it suitable for s(x)vcd encoding?

  4. Hi giuffro,

Checkout my post here -> https://www.videohelp.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?topic=73423&forum=3 because it's referring to converting downloaded .AVI files to MPEG-1 to burn as VCD.

    Cheerz.
