Everytime I convert my .avi files to DVD format, it always splits it into 4 .vob files.

I made sure the the split output option is not checked. So I don't understand.

Is there a way to make it so it converts directly to 1(or even 2) .vob files instead of spliting the .avi video file into 4 .vob files(Which are around 1.1 gig each).

And before you say to use a different program to convert, I use winavi because it haves the crop/resize feature(Which is userfriendly) and I need to use for my videos.

    Thanks

it creates a dvd and the vobs are then splitted every 1 gb, https://www.videohelp.com/dvd#struct

but why do you need one vob? you could instead try convert to one mpeg2 file.

But if I choose mpeg2 format, then I will have to reconvert it to .vob(I use nerovision , to create the menus and burn the dvd, but it will re-encodes it, if its not in .vob format).

use something else for authoring, like tda. it should just author the mpeg2 files to vob files...no reencoding.

WinAVI can give you only one .vob file if you don't split the output file. You can see that if you select "Constant video quality". Don't click "split the output file" option, then it will give you only one .vob file. But if this, you will not allow to burn the file.
