I have a weird problem. I used ffmegx to convert a dozen or so clips into mpg's with mp2 encoding. The clips were at various resolutions. I then created a 4:3 dvd with Toast 7 with re-encoding set to never.

when I play the dvd some clips, most of them, play fine but a few distorts onto the left hand half of the screen. It plays fine with Mac's dvd player though..

any suggestions? I have myDVDedit is there anything i could fiddle with there to fix it?

Could it be that those are SVCD resolution? 'Cause that's how my DVD player shows such files.

ok, I re-toasted the dvd, but this time with encoding on, took a hell of a long time, but all the clips are showing fine now... I thought i could have saved some time by using ffmpegx to create the dvd ready files.. but i guess things don't work like that...
