i have audio which is 855.60mb.i want to use the rest of space for vids to burn on DVD+R.A DVD+R is 4480mb. So 4480-855.60=vid space?

That's correct. The more used number is 4.37GB for a DVD-5, and you need to allow some room for authoring, maybe 100-200MB. Don't cut it too close, as different programs will give you different numbers. Encoders are rarely correct for hitting exact bitrate estimates.
What's your audio format? AC3 is more compact and compliant than MPEG-1, layer 2. But if you already have 5.1, that's probably the best.
