  1. What are the best settings for ripping via HandBrake for the Archos AV700? I'd like to be able to play the recordings back from the Archos onto a decent size and quality TV, as well as view them on the player. Should I do the 2-pass? I've noticed on some material that was made for television that if I do the de-interlace, the playback is noticably jerky. Any recommendations? I really appreciate it.

For questions regarding Mac programs, you would get better results posting in the Mac forum. Moving You.

Your question could also apply to the Portable Video forum, you might also look there for some ideas.

Generally, you don't want to de-interlace if your final destination is a TV display. And you might want to fill out your Computer Details so we know what OS you are using, along with the hardware. It helps considerably when evaluating a question.

    And welcome to our forums.

  3. Many thanks. I look forward to posting the right questions in the right forums. But for the record, I'm on a PowerBook with the most recent OSX.
