ok, i want to edit some dvd footage, and i think im going thru way to many steps, any suggestions..smartripper>dvd2avi>tmpgnce...i have a mpg file, now i want to edit, ive tried editing w/tmpgnce and its not 100% accurate, i end up w/ loud beeps, and inacurate editing cuts.i ve read around and have even tried w/ some sucess and frustration using virtual dub to edit, i no longer have the beeps, and the cuts are exact! now i want to save the mpg file so i can make a vcd....now what???when i try and saveing my edit i can save the mpg, but i have to re-encode it to avi? is this right???? now i know this is way too many steps, any suggestions on how to either just save it directly as a mpeg w/out lowering the quality, or do i need to use vdubsomehow before tmpgnce and then encode it???any suggestions would be welcome! am i just missing a step earier in the process??? is that all it is? thats why im totally confused!thanks
