I have Windows2000 as my main OS but I have found the same problem with W98 too
it all started a while back when I reinstalled Windows, I installed my creative sound card + drivers first, then my H+ and drivers. Well after that I couldnt get S/PDIF output from my H+! I'd like it, but it wasnt something to cry about, my monitor is bigger than my TV and I just use my H+ incase I want to watch a DVD while on the PC
But I recently reinstalled Windows again installing the drivers the other way around (Windows choose them) and now I cant get S/PDIF out of my 5.1 creative card! (yes I have turned AC3 decoding off) it works when I use creative software, but not with any DVD program.
PowerDVD lets me select it but doesnt output any sound anywhere (it says in info no sound hardware found)
and WinDVD 2.3 won't even let me select S/PDIF out where it used too
I'd muchly prefer to use powerDVD, but if I can fix WinDVD it will do me fine!
Thanks Alot
Gav
