If you do a search, you'll find MANY reasons not to use sticky labels on your CD/DVD. The printable CDs require a printer that can print CDs (and CDs that can be printed on) and the lightscribe DVDs require lightscribe media.

When I first started with CD/DVD burning, I had to put labels on everything. It was fun creating them. Now, I just use a marker to label them.

You need to use "inkjet printable media"(that have a white surface) and a printer such as an Epson R220.I use my Epson R220 for special DVD's(eg. holidays, birthdays, etc) and a Sharpie for everything else.
