It seems the author prefers to remain anonymous.
Hmm.. Maybe its a killer droid virus planted by the movie companies set to unleash devastation on our computers in a few weeks time....

I believe that the author has a good reason for this and we should just enjoy this and not question who made it. I just say THANK YOU whoever you are!

Quick question. Is it possible to use this tool to make a backup to hard disk using the ISO mode of DVD decrypter and then burn ISO mode when using a DL disk?

No, I don't see how. But if you ask the Anonymous Author nicely, maybe the next version...

Here are my ideas for "improvements" :

    1) Make the log window scrolling operable while the other programs run. Not only that, but steal the "Adults Only" hack from DVDStripper. (Remember that one, wasn't MackemX the author?) You know, the stunner blonde, first her shirt's on, then it isn't. Have it so you can toggle display in the log window when tired of looking at the log.

    2) Incorporate a "success" sound when done, also a "failure" sound. Like "Reveille" and "Taps" perhaps. Better yet, steal the sexy female voice from DVDDecrypter that says "Ohhh, Noooo!" when a rip fails. Have her also do "Yess, God Yessss!" for success.

That's all the suggestions I have for now. Respectfully submitted, always glad to help.

With all the crap that needs to be removed in today's movies, it probably best to do it this way and then use PgcEdit to create an ISO file. PgcEdit will correctly set the layer break.

    1.2.0.0 (3 July 2006)

    * Fixed a nasty bug that caused RipIt4Me to completely fail in some rare cases (Fun with Dick & Jane R2, for example).
    * Changed guide link.
    * Removed DVD Decrypter maximum speed setting. (not really necessary, might annoy some).
    * Added version history to Help menu.
    * Fixed bug in routine that detects protected cells. Also changed the way the original PSL is created. The ranges no longer overlap.
    * For scratched discs, added user option to continue with the cleanup or to abort.

Rip speed on my computer is cut in half using this. I was wondering if anyone else has run into this. It happens immediately after decrypter inserts dummy sectors or no packer header.

  13. Hey, there's a new version today. The author must be monitoring sites like this for feedback. The changes I wanted are there, along with a good deal more.

You can set your own "success" sound (or by default it will try to use the DVDDecrypter success sound), scrolling works, there's movie-only mode, it will now generate rip path from DVD label, improvements in how scratched discs are handled, etc., etc.

    Bravo!

I, too, would like to see this. I usually make ISO files using DVDD, and from there I can convert to DVD-5 (using DVD-RB Pro) or Xvid (using Fairuse Wizard). Both of these programs prefer to work with ISO files.

As much out of curiosity as anything else, I just gave this a first test drive, backing up one of those Sony messed up titles that required some interventions. Based on this one test, I would say this is already a fairly slick tool, at version 1.4. All looks to have gone fine, except that I somehow scooped up English subtitles on top of the English soundtrack. I'm gonna guess this was User Error. So, where'd I screw up ?

Something that integrates and wraps around some of your old reliable tools (Shrink, Decrypter) is kinda neat, but tell me -- how is this better or more expeditious than simply ripping with Fab Decrypter and then backing up with Shrink . . . particularly if you don't need to actually shrink the main movie ?

    * Modified the update code so firewalls can be setup to always let RipIt4Me access the internet.

    I don't know if that's a good update.
I would set it to update manually.

(rip slows down when doing those dummy cells, even with pgcedit/psl plugin method. that's just what decrypter does)

..this tool is working great! sometimes i'll still get an error on one file, but i click 'abort' and it finishes, cleans up the crap, and in the end works perfectly.
I am just a worthless liar,
    I am just an imbecil
