I am making a presentational video for playback on computer screens not on DVD. It is a power point kind of thing. They also want to show clips of tv commercials after each product page.
I have the tv commercials in full screen PAL DVD format. I extracted the video from one of the DVDs and it plays fine.
I originally intended to export my powerpoint like peices from After Effects uncompressed and then combine them with the tv clips with some transition in Premiere. My problem is that exporting in mpeg2 either from AFX or Premiere produces a very blurry video during the power point sections. I tried Quicktime with the animation setting and the powerpoint sections look great but the tv clip stutters on every computer I try it on. The tv clip is in mpeg2 format since it was taken from a PAL DVD. I realize I am compressing a second time with quicktime but whatever codec I use, it will be double compressed as the client, a large retail electronics chain, does not have access to the uncompressed video.
Can anyone give me some advice on how to manage this? Is there a codec and format that can work for both types of content?
I'd really appreciate any help on this because I am stumped on what to do.
