Two filter (at least) for virtualdub:

    Delogo
    MSU logo removal filter

... and there's heaps of threads on this ?

At the end of the day, IMHO the result does not justify the time and effort
    If in doubt, Google it.

Just to add some to this it CAN work but it will look watery behind the logo when its removed.

AND special note - if its a rotating logo removing it will almost look worse then the logo - something about the motion that makes it funky during the removal process.

It takes time and the results aren't perfect. Don't expect it to look like a professional dvd when you're done.

Not worth the trouble. It'll look blurry and as others say "watery".

  6. If possible crop the video for example if the logo is at the very edge, but of course you will lose some of the video's original material.

  7. At the end of the day, IMHO the result DO justify the time and effort. If that is what you want to do....Video Is Great and Fun..There is alot of Fluff with People/Opinions. So if its what you want to do then DO IT..

there's a reason they put it there
so people wouldn't steal it and sell it on eBay
but since eBay is too busy shooting itself in the foot to notice...

I have been to pay sites that have clips with 4 or 5 different watermarks from other websites. There are so many watermarks that you can't even see the movie. Who knows who the original owners are or where to get a copy of the unscrewed up originals.

Another Virtualdub filter is Logoaway but as was mentioned, it's a waste of time to use these filters. If you can't get a good result by cropping away the watermark then keep downloading until you can find one without a watermark.
Whoever put the watermark on it probably downloaded it somewhere.

actually, a much easier solution is to put a logo over the existing one
    presto...you're the owner

  11. Depending on the type of logo, delogo can do a great job on most alpha-blended logos. Try this link for some before and after examples.

Can you elaborate on the filter(s) and settings you have used to get good results ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

So to sum things up its best to crop the logo off,put your own cool logo on top of the existing one,to make it look owned,or forget it.

As said, trying to remove the logo will result in a blurry, ugly mess and make the video look even worse than if you were to leave the original logo alone. It takes a VERY long time as I have tried it in the past and ever since viewing the results I abandoned this method.
