Totally agreed. I have a photo printer too, and since I don't print photo often, the photo cartridge clogged up. Why spent $200.00 on printer/ink, and hours ? Since photo/drug/walmart/target can get you, the photo at rock bottom price instantly !

Note : I am in the process of packing away my photo printer and the last two sets of cartridge as give away.

My question is to if you had to drill a hole in your existing cartridge or not? I don't see any instructions online for any of the kits. Seems odd that one would have to drill a hole when it's screwed togather, since presumably you can take it apart, refill, and put back togather.

Or just use the printer at work.

Is it still cheaper to buy a new printer every time you need a new laser toner cartridge?

One thing to think about too is that when you buy new ink for your printers you are also buying new printer heads/nozzles. Alot of these companies are using the recycled carts without any maintenance work, just refilling, slapping on a new sticker and shipping it out. When these carts cause erratic prints the first company to take the heat is the printer MFG. I see it all the time.

I have an Epson R300 that I run generic carts in. I have no problem with them. It costs me about $24 for the set of 6 from Supermedia.com, versus around $80 for the Epson ones.

  6. Printers are cheap or free, they make the money on ink or toner. It's no surprise they don't want people filling them.

"Anyone here ever refill a laster cartridge with one of those toner kits? "

Toner is extreme toxic, dont let it near your lungs.
