I was wondering what it means when it tells you in the description that frames duplicated. While making a DVD from xvid files I get messages like 22 frames duplicated. Is this going to be a problem or is there no reason to worry?

If it is only 22, or a relatively small number, then no. Duplicate frames are created in order to keep the correct framerate. In the older version, 23.976 material was always encoded at 29.970, so 6 frames were duplicated for every second of footage. The results were jerky pans and zooms - not pretty. The current version encodes at 23.976 fps and applies 2:3 pulldown for playback. Much better results. However as fps isn't always exact, occassionally frames have to be added to maintain a consistent rate. A small number indicates a few minor adjustments along the way. You probably won't even notice them on playback.

I've never got that particular error, but I generally trust the program to do the best it can with what it has to work with. The Xvid may have some errors. Are you doing a PAL to NTSC conversion also?

You could always run the program and not burn the DVD yet. Check the DVD file with a program like PowerDVD that emulates a standalone DVD drive. It it looks OK, go ahead and burn it.
