    DVCD?
    There are 2 possibilities:
    1. It is CVD, a chinese version of SVCD. It is also known as Chaoji VCD and HDVCD. It is like SVCD, but the resolution is 352 X 576 (480).
    2. It is X(S)VCD or MiniDVD.

  3. DVCDs have the MPEG-1 specs identical to ordinary standard VCDs. They can (according to the hype) have up to 120 minutes on a disc but I have never credibly heard of one much more than 90 minutes.

These are mastered by stamping the disc with a tighter spiral to get the higher disc capacities.

They are otherwise the same as standard VCDs.

In a way, a normal VCD burnt onto 90/99 min media is a lot like DVCD though nobody calls them that of course.

    Regards.
