working with yuv material in adobe premiere pro 2

if i have the possibility to work either with yuv or rgb source material in premiere pro 2, should i stick with rgb (filming in rgb, capturing via rgb capture card).

i have read that premiere pro 2 does handle yuv however as soon as effects are laid on the source material it turn back into rgb.
