  1. Hi, I am having problems playing a Burned VCD with a JVC VX-42SL. I burned my VCD with Nero and with the correct settings and for some reason when i plug it into my DVD player, and press the "play" button, the PBC thing pops up then it reads the 1st and 2nd track. After this, it goes back to the original DVDplayer screen. Please someone help me! thanks..

  3. The plot thickens ... i too am using 2000 and nero 5.56 however i have found that some dvd player do work, my pioneer 626 does my other panasonic works however my mates sharp and tosiba dont, but his akai does ??? there is no consivable reason, mines the only one which is region free. but mine wont enable the menu where as my panasonic does ??? there seems to be no correlation. The only thing i thought about was weather disabling the cd-i function would help.

    Any thoughts ....

toshiba's are terrible at playing vcd's, very few will ever work, JVC's are not far behind but you can get them to play by finding the right media, they are very media brand sensitive.

I, too, am having difficulties getting my JVC DVD player (an XV-FA90BK) to play VCD's recorded to CD-R's or CD-RW's.

If the media is the problem, does anyone have any advice on which brands seem to work best with JVC players?

    Thanks.
