Yes, I agree with Chris and Jikchung. Can u pls post your processor temperature in normal and when converting?
Try to clean your PC and Processor cooler. I did this week, before i was getting like 69 celsius with conversion (too high), and after cleaning, temp. stay at 54 celsius with any conversion. Normal temp now it´s like 35/40 celsius, before was 55. -
ok i will do some checks on the pc, When i convert the AVI files svcd2dvd does actually complete the job 100%, but its when i try to close the programme down i get the screen. i will take a note of the error code when it happens again as well, that must mean something to someone ?
cheers for the replys. -
So you're saying the program completes and you have a working VIDEO_TS folder ready to burn and the error occurs on program exit?

Did a full check while converting and the temps are between 30 and 40 but still got the same error:
STOP: 0x0000007F (0x00000000 0x00000000 0x00000000 0x00000000)
Maybe time to do a clean install and try again ? -
Well ive done a fresh install and stripped it /cleaned everything ..but still getting the same error

I would suggest a memory test to start. A simple google search (*hint*) on the error message turned up this page:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/137539/
Look it over and see what you can figure out, but it seems to be a hardware error as this is some of the first info on the page:
This error message can occur if either of the following conditions exists: • Your computer has hardware or software problems (hardware failure is the most common cause).
• You try to over clock the speed of your computer's processor (for example, you set a 150 MhZ processor to run at 187 MhZ).
The above STOP error means a trap occurred in kernel mode and the trap is either one the kernel is not allowed to have or is always fatal. The most common causes of a STOP 0x7F are:
• Low-level hardware corruption, such as corrupt memory (RAM)
• Mismatched memory modules
• A malfunctioning motherboardDwight

Have you tracked down WHERE the error occurs? Do you know which piece of hardware is having the issue so the problem can be narrowed down? It can be as simple as a memory conflict or error that is illustrated when you use S2D, without S2D actually being at "fault".
So what I am saying is it may only be one program, but it's still a hardware fault that needs to be corrected.Dwight

Ive just changed the Ram to some new Crucial Ram, Got the same error again tonight...Graphics card then motherboard i think next.
Might be cheaper to build a complete new system -
How many sticks of RAM are you using? If more than one (and you haven't done this already), try only one stick at a time and see what happens. My current motherboard is dual channel capable, but if I put two sticks in on separate channels I get lockups using CCE. I moved the second stick to the same channel as the first stick and have no problems now, so the RAM was OK, but my motherboard has dual channel issues. Make sure whatever RAM you use is listed as compatible for your motherboard.
