    Hi all-

I transferred some old vhs recordings to DVD-R with my Phillips standalone DVD recorder. I then FINALIZED the recording so the DVD would play in other DVD players. I tested it on my other standalone JVC player as well as my computer DVDROm drive and it played fine with PowerDVD. The only problem is that when the DVD first loads, all you see is a Title Menu and below that is what I assume is the actual title "1 L1 SLP". You then have to select THAT to have the video begin playing.

How do I remove the title menu and "1 L1 SLP" from the DVD so that the DVD just starts playing the actual recording? I dont need to edit the DVD in any other way so I hope it can be fairly simple and straightforward.

When I explore the DVD Rom drive the following structure exists:
    VIDEO_TS (main folder)
    files within main folder:
    VIDEO_TS.BUP
    VIDEO_TS.IFO
    VIDEO_TS.VOB
    VTS_01_0.BUP
    VTS_01_0.IFO
VTS_01_0.VOB (Which appears to be the actual video file because of it's size...all the other files are very small)

Again, I am hoping for a quick and simple way to get this done since all I want to remove is the title menu and have the DVD just play the actual video automically when loaded or when I push play, I dont care. I just dont want the title menu and all the intro garbage eliminated.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

    Thanks
    Nicole

DVDshrink in reauthor mode. Only select the movie and backup.

You might want to use DVD-RW media in your recorder intitially so you don;t waste a disk when you prepare a copy in the PC.

I tried using AOA DVD Copy. Similiar program. It copies directly from one DVD and burns to another and I selected MOVIE ONLY (other options are whole disk (with chapters, etc) but when I tried the burned copy in my standalone DVD player it said NO DISC. I just downloaded the DVDShrink and will try it that, hopefully I will have better luck. nicole
