  1. how can I repair this, I am trying to convert a .avi to .vobs but I get this error which i have out is called a corrupt avi header

    You might try running it through VirtualDub Mod. In 'File>Open video file', Click 'Popup extended open options' near the bottom of the 'Open Video file' page, then select the file. Click 'Rederive keyframe flags'. Then when you get the video loaded, under 'Video>Scan video streams for errors'. That may repair it. Save it in the same format and see if it's fixed.

    Divfix as worked for me in the past. Another option at least.

    You might also check it with g-spot, avicodec or mediainfo to determine if you actually do have the right codecs installed. Maybe it isn't broken after all.

  7. well divfix worked but now it dont have sound now its converted to vobs yet there is audio on the .avi file before conversion I used winavi and also convertxdvd

    Make sure you have click "Direct AC3",and haven't select "NONE" for audio stream in the advanced page when you use WinAVI do the conversion.
