  1. Hello all. I have researched this but cannot get this to work. I need to incorporate a 40 min file from an old training dvd into one I am putting together myself. I rip with dvd decrypter in ifo mode, stream processing and demux. I have two files, audio and video.
When I bring the file into dvdit pro 6, there is no picture. Just sound. The file will play on realplayer though.
If I rip the 40 minute file without changing the file size limit in dvd decrypt, I get 3 files. Two 1 gb and a 280 mg file. If I demux these in tempgenc, the third smaller file never has video?
Also it's easier to use one comlete file in Dvdit than 3 smaller ones.
So, please help. I have a time crunch and not much hair left, having pulled most of it out.
    Thanks

I don't know what the problem is with Decrypter, but you might try VOB2MPEG. It should get the whole video out as one large MPEG file. You could also check the one you extracted in Decrypter with Gspot 2.52 and see what it says about the audio and video formats.

  3. Thanks, will try. Do these programs re-encode the stream?

No, AFAIK, they just separate out the MPEG that is in the VOB 'wrapper', sort of like 'unauthor' the DVD.
