after ive edited some movie footage using tpmgenc, ive noticed that wherever ive edited footage, there is a loud beep, how can i get rid of this?

I used to face the same problem with TMPGEnc. You perhaps cut a clip for removing unwanted portions and joined them again which resulted a beep at the joint. I feel the reason could be some loss of audio info in the removed portion.
A way out was to open the cut clips again in TMPGEnc and reencode them - same settings as original- to a new mpg . It should be very fast.Join the new clips. It worked for me.
The hassle- managing more clips on the drive.
A better solution - find a better mpeg editor -and if you are successful at that let me know too.
