    I want to copy a DVD from the disc on my computer.
    During this progress it has to be converted to the file format AVI, MPEG, or MPEG2.

    Which programm is the best to use it for?


    I would be very pleased to receive some answers.

    You might try VOB2MPEG. A DVD is already MPEG-2, it's just in the DVD format or container. What do you want to do with it after you have extracted the video?

    AVI - AutoGK, AVI.NET.
    MPEG-2 - VOB2MPG.

    As redwudz said though, the "best" program depends on what you want once it's on your computer.

    If it is a dvd video it is already mpeg2 format.

    To copy to the hard disc you can use Nero 6 .
