Sorry, I don't agree with your assessment of the show. IMO it's not worth saving and should have been cancelled at midseason. I watched it only because the dismal programming that the other networks offered was even worse. I won't be signing the petition but wish you best of luck.

Studios don't read and don't care about online petitions. If you want to make an impression, get 1 million dead trees sent their way. Paper counts, online doesn't.

a few shows like futurerama and some others were saved by people writing in .... but yea - i dont think they care about petitions, only direct emails and letters ... in fact , mostly only letters ...

  10. I heard about this the other day. Pretty shitty to cancel it, particularly after the cliffhanger at the end of the first season. I thought it was a pretty good show. I signed.

I don't know how well you follow DVD releases or pilots or tv shows renewals/cancellations, but it basically works the same in terms of fan-initiated grassroots campaigns.

Studios like Buena Vista and Warner Brothers, or at least the folks in charge of the various divisions that oversee these activities, have explicitedly stated that electronic communications like e-mail, faxes and websites make zero impact.

It takes letters. Paper. Lots of it.

I think that applies to anything really, call a company to complain and you won't get very far. Write a letter and you'll get a response without a doubt. For one thing companies don't receive many letters of complaint so if someone actually took the time to write the letter they are going to address it. My GF once got 4 free tickets to Great Adventure and a free "line skipper" because she complained about a 30 minute wait that the line skipper was supposed to avoid when we were there..... About a $250-$300 value for the price of a stamp.

I think they should have kept THRESHOLD going. I honestly couldn't get into INVASION. I saw the pilot and it didn't grab me. But they killed THRESHOLD halfway through. Just when they were getting some cool ideas in it too. I liked the idea of the multidimensional spacecraft.

  14. I enjoyed threshold also, they just dont give shows a chance to get a foothold anymore.

They killed "Surface" also. My God that was terrible show.

"Invasion" wasn't looking that much better.

So I guess this means we're not going to be invaded. I guess I'll get started on that Yacht-in-a-bottle I've been putting off.
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.
