Afternoon Baldrick, Happy New Year!!
I have ben getting FALSE e-mail notifications
on my posts response's!!
for example, on this thread I started yesterday,
VCD - can we minimize most blocks in "The Mummy Returns" opening scene?
...I got a false e-mail notification last night, and then
just a minute ago (its now 3:17pm NY time) I got another
e-mail notification, but when I went into the thread, there
was NO new post waiting!!! I even went through to see if
there were any of those:
[ This Message was upd. . . . .]
but I really couldn't tell if some was just only updating
there response. Actually, I really can't tell if they did
this, because the times on your forum are off by 1 or 2 hour
and they are off at other locations in the world, so one
never really knows if its an update that just came, or one
that was done hours ago (and you never know) or something.
Its just too confusing to figure out if someone's just
updating there last response (way down or up your thread)
or whatever. And, since I can't figure this out, if some
one DID actaully revise one of there post(s), I'll never
know about it (especially if there are 2 or more pages of
them to scan through), as in the TWO (if true) e-mail
notifications I received so far.
The best thing I can suggest is this (to all) if you're
going to revise a post on someone's thread, and it happens
to be a very long page or spans more than a page, please
post a new respones on THAT person's thread, else they will
never see it, like myself!! just trying to be helpful
about this till something can be done (if there is a problem
in this area)
Has anyone else ben getting these false alerts???
Baldrick, Thank you for your forums support and (free) services

you should not get an email if someone just edit a post. maybe just some emails have been delayed by the server.
"because the times on your forum are off by 1 or 2 hour
and they are off at other locations in the world, so one
never really knows if its an update that just came"
???? if using the correct gmt it should not be off.
