I have ripped almost every DVD I own to my server and watch them with media players. The players have the ability to play HD Video. If I were to puchase an HD DVD, would I be able to copy the disk to my server with my current DVD player on my PC? I know I wouldn't be able to watch the HD DVD on my PC from the player, but could I rip with something like DVD Shrink or DVDFab Decrypter?

At a guess, and without any material being available over here yet, I would say no. Why not ? Because the encryption and format of the data is totally different to that of DVD, and the current ripping software won't understand it. Certainly software such as DVD Shrink or DVD Decrypter, neither of which have been updated in many months, would recognise it. In time, once the encryption is broken (if that happens), tools will appear that will rip then disc. Until then, I doubt you will have much luck.
