i have streambox ripper which usually used to convert my real audio files to mp3. All of a sudden it has stop converting the real audio files. It keeps giving me an error stating that i need some G2 codec. Is this because i have installed a new real player that uses a dll file which streambox ripper does not understand?

please help me with this problem

The Real to ??? converting version of Streambox Ripper is no longer supported. You may have to go to http://oldversion.com/program.php?n=real and get an older version of Real to make it again work. This may not work for all Real audio, because they have no doubt upgraded their encoders over the years. FWIW, I use Total Recorder and just capture audio streams myself.

You can try dbpoweramp (current shareware version, or earlier free version), with the RealAudio codec installed. I used to use a utility called 'ra2wav,' a long time ago, if I remember correctly, but that probably only worked for the early .ra files.

If you can play them in WinAmp, you can also use WinAmp's Disk Writer plugin to convert as well, in theory.

If all else fails, you can always have something like Audacity record the audio while you play the Real files.
