    hi.
ok ive made a dvd with svcd2dvd,ive placed 2-3 films on it with menus etc.

what i would love to be able to do is add alittle intro(bout 5-10 secs) to the begining of the dvd that plays before the menu screen appears.

any suggestions how to do this and what programs i could use?.

idealy i would first make dvd then add intro and burn,is this possible without having to recode/convert the dvd?.

thanks guys in advance for any help/advise/suggestions.

I do this by adding the intro as movie1, and setting the first action to play it, before showing the root menu. DVDLab Pro.
Donīt know if svcd2dvd has this first action feature, though.

It is called a First Play in most authoring programs.

  4. Make your intro as mpeg2 file and use PGCEdit to insert first play clip.

  5. Ulead VideoStudio has this feature.
BTW...you will have to reauthor whatever program you use.

  6. Hi-

BTW...you will have to reauthor whatever program you use.

No he won't. If he has the Intro clip authored to DVD already, he can just add it to the already authored main DVD using PGCEdit. It just redirects the IFOs to have it play first before going to where ever it went before, the menu most likely.

Open your DVD in PGCEdit and up at the top go Title->Import First-Play (Startup) Clip and follow the easy instructions from there. Abond was right.
