I don't know if this is the right place or the right forum for this question.
A friend of mine gave me two cds with a bunch of files for an xbox program. Since I don't have one I know nothing about it. Most are rar files that contain an iso file. They are all the same size 48 mb. However, the last 6 I don't know what file type they are as my computer only assings the standard windows icon. But they all have the same extension, rxx (xx being a number from 01 to 48).

If I had an xbox, how do I set these up for use or how do I use them? Can they be converted for use on a pc?

If this is not the right place for this question, please advise.

    Thank you,

Place the disk in your Disk reader in your PC. You will need win rar installed. Double click the first rar file. Usually the one with the lowest # or no #. Winrar will open up and if you clicked on the correct one you will probably see the contents as an ISO of whatever. Now you can extract them to a folder of your choice. If it is a game, you will not be able to play it anyway unless your X-Box is Modded.
No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD!

Yep, you will need WinRAR installed. There will be a .rar file that you need to double-click on. Then select the ISO file and click the extract button to extract the ISO somewhere on your hard drive. Then burn that ISO to DVD and play on an XBOX that is modded to play burnt games (out of the box they won't play). And No, XBOX games cannot be played on PCs AFAIK.

One must wonder though that if you do not have an XBOX, then why did your friend give them to you ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

Thanks for you help on this. What about the files that do not show the wrar icon? What kind of a file are they? As I mentioned, they have the same file extension/ number system as those with the wrar icon.

This program is for a karaoke party. My friend knew I liked karaoke so he thought I might find some use four it. One of my grandchildren does have an xbox.

    Thanks again.
