Hey there,
I have a pretty old video capture card (Canopus EZDV SE). I would like to capture more than the built in program limits (2 GB, which is about 10 min.). I have plenty of hard disc space (200GB). The problem is that I don't know wether its a limit that comes with the card and is inchangable, or maybe its a preference thing.
Thanks for the help

What OS and file system on your computer? FAT32 file systems (used in Win95, 98, and some installs of XP) have a file size limit of 2GB. That's the first thing to check. Also, even if you are using XP and NTFS file system, the capturing software may still impose a 2GB limit. Depending on the card/software, it may have the ability to capture consecutive 2GB chunks, so that you still get the whole video in one "capture" (something like "myvideo_01", "myvideo_02", etc.)
There's some general stuff to think about. Sorry, but I don't have any experience with that particular capture card (I do DV and Firewire transfers).
