    I read in the help on avi2dvd that two files can be joined by giving them consecutive names like dvd cd1.avi
    dvd cd2.avi
    My question is, do i make two seperate jobs and the program just recognizes them and joins them, or is there a different procedure

    Just add the first file and it'll see the second file and do that as well. At least, that's the idea.
