  1. This may be the wrong forum and if it which would would it be? I and putting a home movie on a mini disk to a 4.7disk and creating a menu. But ive noticed with Nero Vision it creates a main menu and then sub menus. All I want its a sub menu that lists all the chapters, I dont want a main menu. Can this be done with vision? If not whats another good program that can do EVERYTHING nero vison can do or atleast one that creats menus.

I have tried that also. There is a drop down box on the top left of the screen that will allow you to change from title menu to no menu or title and sub-menu. It is not an option. Try DVD Architect or DVD pro lab.

Whilst only a quick fix, if this is just a "one-off" then it may just be easiest to output as-is then use something like PGCEdit to "adjust" the commands such that the Main Menu is never actually displayed.

Unfortunately NeroVision is one of those programs that tries to control what you can and can't do a little too much IMHO. Whilst it may make a number of tasks "easy", there is no substitute for a tool with far more flexibility at the expense of a sharper learning curve. I find that TMPGEnc DVD Author lets me do most things I need to do, but if you really want control then it's hard to go past DVD-lab.
    If in doubt, Google it.

NeroVision will add menus depending on where you add the video. If you add it to the titles page, there will be a main menu button for each title. If you add them to the editing page and just put one after the other, there will be one button on the main menu with sub menus for each chapter, if you add them.

It sounds like what you want to do would be to put all your videos on the video titles page so you have a button for each one. You can either not add chapters, or choose "Title Menu Only" from the drop down box. Then if you hit the more button in the menu area, you can choose what you want to happen when the video starts and where it goes next. Maybe you can work these choices to your benefit.
