    evening everyone.

My DVD Recorder, a Pioneer, DVR-220-s model, when I change
my analog cable to channel 48, Sci-Fi, the audio only plays in the right
chan. But, when I change to any other channel, the audio is in both
    size, left/right, and in stereo.

At first, I thought it was due to bad wires. So, I replaced them.. many
of them. But, on Sci-Fi, it is still doing this.. one-side audio.

Has anyone heard of this weardness, and can I recover ??

Do you have a stereo vcr to test with??? Or how about your pc capture card?

If the same thing happens on both you need to call either the cable/satellite company or pioneer. Somewhere the signal is screwed up. Either on the delivery side or your dvd recorder - if your stereo vcr or capture card work just fine in stereo than you can be sure its the dvd recorder that is whacky maybe (though for only one channel????).

    Definitely call your service provider.

Noop. No go. VCR is exhibiting the same symptons. It's only when I'm
on Sci-Fi channel. This is very weard, indeed.

If its happening on another unit than it must be at the source. You have to call the cable company and complain.
