    Hey, does anybody know how to retain the 16x9 ratio for most of the SMR DivX video downloads, once converted over to play as a VCD? I am able to encode the un-compressed AVI to Mpeg, but when I try to make a VCD then, it strechs the video to full screen. Any help would be cool.

    Until now I never heard of a DVD player, that plays anamorphic VCDs. Set the displayed aspect ratio to 4:3.

    When I reencode from divx to mpeg, I choose 1-1 and keep fullscreen aspect ratio in tmpgenc, and have no problems palying them widescreen (or whatever size is on the divx)

    What do you use to burn? use nero and dont let it reencode

    Correctly, but at the video tab you have to set the DAR according to your TV set.
