I have the usual problem, when installing
the latest version of the "ATI Video Player" written in
the following read me file from the "ATI Video Player":

------------------------------------------------------------
1) ATI video player hangs or features are missing

SYMPTOM:
After installing a new version of the ATI VIDEO PLAYER one of the following symptoms occurs;

- The VIDEO PLAYER hangs the system or causes an error when launched.

- Features or buttons are missing.

SOLUTION:
Prior to installing this version of the ATI VIDEO PLAYER, UN-INSTALL any previous ATI VIDEO PLAYERs.

To un-install;

- open the Windows CONTROL PANEL

- double click ADD/REMOVE programs

- select the ATI VIDEO PLAYER

- and click the REMOVE button.

RE-START the system, and then install the new version.

------------------------------------------------------------

I have done those steps. Then I have installed the latest version of the "ATI Video Player" again.
Then I have rebooted the system after the installation.

When windows starts again after the reboot a message like this appears:
------------------------------------------------------------
"c:\windows\system\mciavi.drv" has been replaced with an older version by a recently installed program ("ATI Video Player"). But windows couldn't repair itself because the file is in use at the moment. It could only be repaired if you restart windows again
------------------------------------------------------------

I have tested if the "ATI Video Player" works now, before restarting windows again to "repair" the "mciavi.drv" file,
but it neither works before restarting nore after restarting.

The "ATI Video Player" hangs!!!

Please help, THX
