Ok, www.TVguide.com is pure murder, to load while on dial-up.
I've been waiting for it to finish, and its now some 5 minutes.
If I refresh, it takes another 5 minutes.

All those freeken adds and animitation and java garbade (in the
form of cookies and port attacks) really slow my dial-up even
    further.

Is there another alternative tvguide website that I can surf on
over to, without having to wait for all the nonsense I just noted ??

    Thanks guys,

  2. You could try www.TitanTV.com but I'm not sure it will be much better.

    thanks gadgetguy,

well, this is a no-go. No.. not another register/password that I have to
remember. Oh well. I'm sorry, but I don't want to join. That'll be one
    more cookie to worry about.

Try yahoo vhelp. It has its own tv guide section. I don't believe its too graphic laden, just one ad bar if I remember right. And you probably already have a yahoo email but I don't think you need to login to see it you just need to do a zipcode entry to get the right listing.

edDV, thanks. I think that was a fairly good one (so far) and only took 1m:10s
to load. And, the layout/color isn't so bad, though I wish it would load a bit
    more faster..

what I liked about tvguide.com was that it had a couple of features, like
when you want to know if a show is going to re-air again, all you have to
do is click on the 'additional airings' button and it gives you the date/time.

yada/LS, yeah.. that one took some 30sec to load. I think that was the fastest
    one (so far) -- thanks.

Oh, and it also included, 'future airings'. Nice and

    .. keep'em coming, guys ..

  9. I'm surprised no-one has mentioned the daddy of them all http://epguides.com/ it should be ok on dial up as there are no ads, fancy backgrounds or layouts on the pages.
    Hope this helps.

I think you will find that in most of them if you bring up program info.

  12. I prefer using my Panasonic dvd recorder, it has them onscreen, no waiting. Some tvs also have guideplus on screen. Its completely free but requires cable.
