I have a file that when decompressed became an .iso file. I've done bin/cue,.avi and others. But never an .iso file. How do extract the data I need to convert it to DVD? I presume that once extracted the ata will be in some from of MPEG playable only on PowerDVD and the like, but convertable by using Nero, or, other similar programs. When decompressed files are bin/cue I use ISOBuster, I presume that from the name I can use that program for .isos but how?
    Thanks.

It should be exactly the same as extracting from bin files - after all, they're both just different types of image files.

You could also use Daemon Tools to mount the ISO, then PowerDVD should play it as if it were a DVD in your DVD drive (if it's a DVD, of course).
    If in doubt, Google it.

You can also use VLC Media Player to play most video ISOs directly, without needing Daemon Tools to extract them, if you just want a preview of the ISO.

    Jimmalenko:

It would be if when you right clicked on the .iso file, and, the same things that you see when you right click on the .bin files were there. But unfortunately, for me, you don't. Which is why I posted the question. What I see when I open a .bin file are folder labeled cdi, ext, mpegav, segment, and, vcd.
(the above is when the source is a VCD, when it's a SVCD, cdi isn't there, and, vcd is svcd, then.) I extract from the mpegav files, and, the result is an .mpeg file (or, sometimes a .dat file) -playable only on "software" dvd players, but covertable to be burned as a DVD by DVD writing programs such as Nero. But when I open this .iso file, what I see are folders labeled system.cnf, slus_211.51, appstart, modules, and, cars.psr. So which one in this strucuture is the equivalent to the mpegav files in a .bin file?
And. redwudz, I don't only want to be able to see what the file is, but, as I said above, I want to convert and burn to a DVD.

you seem to have an image of a ps2 game not a movie. be more careful on your download file selections.

I just checked the source, and, you're right IT IS a playstation2 game, and, not a video file as I though it was. I when I selected this for download, I could've sworn that it was labled as a videofile, not a game file. I don't know how I made this mistake, but quite obviously I did.
Thanks to all for their help, and, especially to aedipuss for pointing out my mistake.

Just FWIW, I've never bought a movie at the store and received a PS2 game in the case instead.

    Downloading is a dangerous business
    If in doubt, Google it.

As for my mistake, as I said I could've sworn the site I downloaded it from had it labeled a video file. But obviously-because of my "red face"-posted here, I was wrong, because when I double checked at aedipuss' implied suggestion, I found that it was a game file. Usually, I don't amke such mistakes. It goes to prove that nobody's perfect, especally me!
