I have an incomplete (98%) APE file which I tried to convert to WAV using dbpoweramp converter and partway through it stopped and gave me a decompression error. Is there anyway I can convert this entire incomplete file to WAV?

.APE is Monkey's Audio - a lossless audio codec. You may have more success by using their own decompresser.

    Good luck!

  3. I found this on the Monkey's Audio forum:

    Recovering 'broken' Apes
The WinAmp APE plug-in allows you to "ignore bitstream errors", but you really don't want to hear a corrupt APE. Not until you turn down the volume and open all your windows!
You could try using the WinAmp APE plug-in (included as part of the Monkey's Audio installation) set to "ignore bitstream errors" and set WinAmp to write the output to a WAV file. That should recover whatever audio is recoverable.

You could try goldwave with the APE plugin.

  5. APE and WAV are all lossless audio codec, no need to convert to each other, as to me
