I have been using my WINTV card to record episodes of shows. I have been looking for a way to preview the episodes in a small thumbnail to see if I need to delete it or not. I have read the xp has a preview in the margin but I can't seem to find that option. I have seen a Mac that the video thumbnail will play right in the "explorer". Is there a way to make the thumbnail play without opening some other program? If the Macs can do it why can't we? I would be willing to use a different explorer type program to view videos I am just not sure what to use. Thanks for any help.

I don't know if XP would show the thumbnail view as a video. It normally shows thumbnail video files as a still. If it did, it would use Windows Media Player. You could use any player to do that. I use Zoom player and the minimalistic user interface, audio muted. Then set the player as the default for that filetype and set it to play each file the same as the last. I resize the window to the size I want, then when it plays the video, it gives me a small window with no borders and no sound. To play, I just right click on the file and hit 'play'. It will play all videos that way until you change it. EDIT: You can also set the playback to fast if you just want to do a quick scan.

    And welcome to our forums.
