I'm using VLC's snapshot feature right now, and I kinda like it. However, the problem I usually have is that it is VERY HARD to take a clear screenshot. Every time I pause the movie to take the screenshot, it is likely to go blurry.
The problem would be that the movie is not still, it is likely to move all the time, and that's what make it hard to take a clear image. Even when two people having a conversation, not much actions involve, I might still have a blurry pictures from the moving lip or sometimes shaking head. I've acutally seen many movie screenshots where the image is sharp and clear, and it's taken off from the movie!
I want to know if there's any other way to take a quality screenshot of the still image from movie without having it blurry?
Thanks in advance,
Nattawat

There really isn't an answer to the OP's question in the sticky.
nattawat: You can always try stepping forward or back a frame or two to see if you can get an image with less motion-blur, but in this case, it depends on the source; depending upon how the video was created, you may not be able to get a clear still-frame without some form of motion-blur, artifacts, etc. Is the source a DVD, or video file?If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them? -
You may want to use VirtualDub or VDubMod and step by keyframe, perhaps? (If it's AVI, that is)

I've used Premiere 6.5 to capture jpegs from video. It captures multiple frames (by what you select), then I open them in Photoshop, deinterlace, and convert to 640 x 480. They aren't great, but they are pretty good on some grabs, and not so good on others. It depends on how much motion there is in the frames you are grabbing.
