    Hi,

I've been fiddling around with Encore DVD 2.0 for the past few days and have noticed that the amount of ready-to-use templates and buttons has radically decreased. There are especially very few video buttons around.

I'm teaching Premiere and Encore to people with limited knowledge of photo editing and creation software and would like to give them the opportunity to find extra material without having to create it thimselves.

Are there sites out there where I can download FREE extra backgrounds, buttons and images for Encore? I couldn't find much on the Adobe website, nor by Googling. The only thing I came up with is a few (expensive) sites where you have to buy material.

    Thanks for any hints,

    Lenny

Nope, I don't think you will find anything for free.

Your students will be limited to what it's included with the app.

We all start as the bottom and then a few will rise and learn what they need to progress.
Since ALL menus and their elements can be created from scratch in Photoshop, the choices suddently become limitless. Unfortunately as far as "click & use" templates go, what you see is what you get.

Do you own the complete production suite? That may come with some extra items that may not be included in the single program release. You never know with Adobe.

Existing templates can also be edited and re-designed in photoshop and then saved as custom templates for later use.
No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD!

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply.

As I said, most of my students have no or only very limited knowledge of Photoshop when they come into my class. That's why I was hoping for some ready-to-use material.

I have heard that the complete suite contains extras, but neither myself nor my students will likely invest in the entire suite if they only need Encore.

I'm not familiar with 2.0, but within 1.0, i was able to load in hidden menus and buttons..
You had to import a .PSD, and dig through Encore's stored assets folder..There were about 30 or so hidden assets that became available suddenly...

    Good luck!!!
BTW, have you read Adobe's claims?? They introduced many more user templates. More than before.
